stop! Don’t tap pay..

There will always be the next big “influencer” or “Health Guru” rearing it’s head round the corner ready to pounce on our vulnerabilities, fears, and bank account!

I get really frustrated with the health service & product industry and the power it has on an individuals health choice - and mainly because we are individual right? We are all unique in our bodies, our lifestyles, genetics, diet and health state. There is no one size fits all, YET you must immediately buy this one supplement right now OR follow this diet method that promises to fix everything! (cue you tapping your apple pay in 2 micro seconds).

They are preying on us, it makes me so angry! mostly because I know it’s all utter rubbish, but yet I even feel myself drawn into the mega marketing campaigns sometimes too - they are very convincing, and if you are having a bad day it is tempting to tap on the payment button! Instant payment on our phones is clearly an issue here, as we get hooked in and impulsively buy because it has been made so simple!

BUT listen - it is not your fault, you are not gullible or stupid and should not feel bad for falling for it.

Remember: these are reputable brands selling us this junk, paying the top marketing experts in the world to tap into our emotional vulnerabilities and investing tons into market research to identify our pain points - it’s just like the food industry, they know that secret addictive taste combo and what buttons to press and are highly skilled in it. They ARE 100% taking advantage of us - I am starting to rant now lol, can you hear I am passionately peeved!

Anyway, this is why I trained in this area, to really understand in more depth how the body works, why nutrition and lifestyle is essential to health, to understand the impact of change through coaching, and to gain a deeper level of knowledge so I could confidently pick out the truths from the noise, and support women JUST LIKE YOU to make sure you have all the information you need to made an educated choice to meet your health goals and needs.

i want you to consider these 4 points:

  1. Your health is just that, “yours” work on it to support your own needs and requirements, however that may look, there is no judgement when it comes to quality of life, and there can always be an element of risk vs. benefits to be weighed up (too many women put up with debilitating symptoms due to fear or judgement - lets change that).

  2. Always start with the basics, there is no point spending £100 on a supplement and ignoring simple diet and lifestyle changes, I know it is tempting as a quick win or short cut but all you are doing is wasting your cash.

  3. Do not over complicate health, it often starts with going to bed early, getting out for a walk, drinking some water and eating breakfast. You would not believe the results I have seen from such simple yet hugely effective actions.

  4. Do not feel the need to be sucked into the latest health trend, don’t get me wrong some of these “diets” can bring results, but they might not be suitable for you or your symptoms, life stage, genetics or budget - and a lot of them bring results because they always focus on the core basics : Wholefoods, Protein, Fibre, Vegetables, Hydration and cut out all the processed stuff - Genius ! Who would have thought!

Real change actually comes from blocking out the noise, allowing yourself to listen and observe what your body REALLY NEEDS and most likely working on the boring basics - Not very catchy I know, but boring works , it just doesn’t sell well in taglines.

And If you are ready to work on your boring basics then feel free to book in a 1:1 Consultation here - OR if you love a bit of self paced learning I have just launched my 28 Day Quick Start Guide to Perimenopause at an early bird price of £37 - Offer is valid until 10th July.

P.S This is my first ever blog, I did not use AI, but you probably guessed that lol, I am fed-up of reading the same old content AI is throwing out there, I am trying to remain authentic which means you might see the odd grammatical error along with some poor English, but that’s ok! like everything in life, I am not striving for perfection!
