Change your life in 3-days
Feeling in a bit of a slump? During midlife and perimenopause our oestrogen levels start to go up and down. This can cause low mood, irritability, bloating, weight gain, sporadic and heavy periods, and leave you feeling anxious. Brain fog can be paralysing, and it can feel difficult to move forward.
There is a lot going on in this life-stage. Hormones play a role, but we also have to contend with the ageing process going on in parallel and the stressors of modern life thrown on top too. We are constantly switched on, wired, tired and skipping meals to get stuff done, which is just fuelling the unpredictable hormonal fire of perimenopause.
This cycle starts impacting everyday life, influencing energy levels, food choices, and rest. When our ovulation becomes irregular, progesterone levels decline. The hormone that normally keeps you calm and helps stabilise your moods now becomes the cause of your irritability, gives you trouble sleeping and in some cases can cause more intense PMS. Alongside this our testosterone levels decline contributing to lower energy, reduced libido and lower self-esteem.
Through all of this, cortisol, the stress hormone, becomes more reactive making us less resistant to stress and can cause weight changes. When our hormones are all mixed up like this they no longer work in harmony together and this can leave us feeling a bit….well, rubbish.
At this life stage, perimenopause gets all the blame for our symptoms. And while it definitely plays a part, it is just one piece of the puzzle. Our diets and lifestyle can also be the key drivers here, and that is exactly where you can start to take control.
Small micro changes and enhancements that we can all do to help. Making slight but consistent changes to your lifestyle can make a huge difference to your ongoing journey.
With such an abundance of information out there, it can be difficult to know where to start. That’s where Nutricore comes in. We help, guide, educate and support our clients so that they can make well-informed choices towards helping themselves feel better.
Knowledge is power. Once you know more about what’s potentially impacting those feelings of imbalance, you can find ways to help improve this. Whether that’s through diet, nutrition, exercise, self-care, another way or a combination of all.
Our 12-week plan starts at the beginning of February. The course will cover 10 key topics alongside weekly live coaching sessions, guest speakers, daily support, meal plan creation, and personalised advice. Our group sizes are limited with a strong community feel. We’ll be sharing our experience and support with like-minded women in a completely unfiltered, honest, safe and private space. No questions are off limits!
